After submission of Kilian's remarkable work entitled "Alexander" into the 10th International Ceramics Competition Mino, Japan, he was delighted to receive a personal letter from Mr. Masanori Furukawa, the esteemed Mayor of Tajimi City. In this heartfelt communication, Mr. Furukawa not only congratulated Kilian on his exceptional selection to participate in the prestigious second stage of judging but also expressed admiration for the creativity and effort that Kilian put into his piece.
The Mayor emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and artistic representation, noting that Kilian's work stood out among many submissions from talented artists around the globe. This recognition filled Kilian with pride and encouraged him to continue exploring his artistic journey with renewed passion and dedication.

The ceramic piece features basaltic slip intaglios on stoneware infused with granular manganese. It examines the dominance of cultures, showcasing the blend of influences from the Alexandrian conquest, which merges Persian and Egyptian elements.
