Swan Tavern Tankard - Yorktown

A non-invasive technical analysis and physical documentation of William Rodger’s, Swan Tavern Tankards and sherds to identify original construction methods, material composition, and precise dimensions. This research is conducted at the request of Colonial National Historical Park to facilitate the creation of a high-fidelity interpretive replica for educational use.

This study represents the first comprehensive technical analysis and physical documentation of these artifacts, establishing a primary framework for future ceramic scholarship at this site.
